Grouchofest

This month it's all quotations from Groucho Marx...

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

She got her looks from her father. He's a plastic surgeon.

A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

I find television very educational. The minute somebody turns it on, I go to the library and read a good book.

Either this man is dead or my watch has stopped.

He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

You've got the brain of a four-year-old boy, and I'll bet he was glad to get rid of it.

Why don't you bore a hole into your head and let the sap run out?

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

My "happy as dog with two tails" news

E-book Published.

I've just had my first e-book published. It's based on the Master Your Money workshop but in its new incarnation is called..."The Money Mistress". . It's about getting to grips with your finances and making money "the best servant you ever had". It's about learning how to make your money really work FOR you..so that you don't end up in a situation with loads of stuff you don't really enjoy and not having the wherewithal to change jobs, avail of great opportunities and generally transform your life.

You can read all about it here...

The Nation - new regular newspaper column.

I will be starting my own regular column Bring your best self to light with "The Nation" newspaper this month. The first article has a new angle on the Leaving Certificate hoo-haa which happens this time of year. You can check it out at www.thenation.ie I'm really excited about this...

George Michael

I (through the kind auspices of my sister) got a ticket to George Michael who will be playing in Ireland in December. I'm thrilled...although I have to admit that I felt a pang of regret when I heard he was gay...if you are a child of the 80's you'll know what I mean.

Master Your Money

Buy the book , wear the t-shirt. Tell all your friends! And if you do, give me feedback!

LantzQuest

Had our first Mastermind meeting last Friday...some fabulous people and exciting projects...really looking forward to getting clear about what I "really really want" and going for it. Some great people as well. Will keep you posted.

Bits & Pieces- Almost No TV

Still on the almost no TV regime and do you know what one of the most interesting, unexpected side effects of it is? That I'm beginning to realise how undomesticated I really am. I've begun to realise that I detest cooking, that interior design inspires the sort of loathing in me usually reserved for trifle. (What is it with trifle, wobbly jelly, slimy custard..yuch) What I want in my house is no clutter and lots of space and frankly I don't give a toss about the rest of it. I don't aspire to be one of those advertising women clones...It's as if pulling away from the relentless consumerism of the TV allows you to identify what you really want as opposed to what you think you should want. Try it for a month and see what happens...

Recommended - what I'm reading

(Wicked!). Marion is a coach based in Tipperary, Ireland and she brings out an excellent newsletter called Wicked! She also has a great blog called Three Wise Women. I love reading her work and highly recommend it. Sign up for it at...and as usual it's SAOR!

Cheryl Richardson is bringing out a great 6 CD set based on a Touch of Grace workshop she ran. However, you will have to buy it from Amazon as she doesn't ship to Ireland from her website. It's at a brilliant price of $24.99 plus shipping.

Perfect Vision. I came across this website which features the work of Sean O'Dwyer. His artwork is deeply intriguing and is inspired by the work of Brian Cleeve (now sadly deceased)

Dante's Equation by Jane Jensen. I'd never heard about this woman before and picked it up in the library...intrigued by the title. Proof ..if any was needed...that we do now judge a book by its title and its cover...! I couldn't put it down. It mixed Kabbalah (didn't know anything about that), wave mechanics and science in a most intriguing way. Dante is only mentioned once though...and the equation has nothing to do with Dante. However what is interesting about it is that it puts the characters into alternative worlds that exactly reflects who they are...playing with the idea that Hell is getting your own way for ever...
